The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by typical jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and efficiency.
